Evening Delivery on Allegro - new delivery service introduced to meet customers' expectations
5 October 2017
Allegro customer preference research shows that even 70% of buyers would like to receive parcels in the evening - at home, after work. As much as 40% of buyers give up courier delivery because the courier arrives at times when they are not home.
In order to meet the customers' expectations, Allegro and DHL Parcel are introducing a new form of shipping - the Evening Delivery. Owing to this, the sellers can offer their customers a convenient courier delivery between 6 - 10 p.m. in urban areas and 5 - 10 p.m. outside of cities at an attractive price of 9.95 PLN net (12.24 PLN gross) for a parcel up to 10 kg. It is also possible to deliver items up to 20 and up to 31.5 kg at a slightly higher price. The status of the shipment and the shipment you can also easily tracked in the "My Shopping" on Allegro.
- The market of logistic services in Poland is growing intensively. The main growth factor is e-commerce - says Grzegorz Czapski, Director of Development from Allegro.
We still have a lot to improve. We are constantly working on new products, delivery times, deliveries on the same or the next day, as well as basic issues such as convenient tracking of shipments, speed and punctuality of deliveries. Allegro is an e-commerce leader and will actively participate in changes, and a good example is cooperation with DHL Parcel.
Evening Delivery is the first mass courier service in Poland adapted to the lifestyle of Poles. Thanks to this, customers will be more satisfied and more likely to shop - says Grzegorz Czapski.
- To meet the expectations of Allegro customers, we are launching a tailor-made service that will provide the customers with an even greater choice of delivery forms. Companies that sell on Allegro will be able to easily implement this service, using the attractive terms of the framework agreement with Allegro. We manage to integrate our systems with Allegro, which allows the Clients to track shipments easily- highlights Igor Caban, Managing Director of DHL Parcel Polska.
The Allegro research also shows that for 90% of customers it is important to know where the parcel with their order is. Thanks to the tracking tool, customers will be able to easily see how quickly the seller has prepared and shipped our shopping and where is the parcel currently located. This will improve customers' shopping comfort and will facilitate their next purchase decision. Allegro service will encourage Sellers to massively introduce this form of delivery.
